A S C O L TA - Quinn The Eskimo (The Mighty Quinn) Versione Bob Dylan
A S C O L T A Mighty Quinn Versione Manfred Mann's Earth Band
Ovviamente live
A S C O L T A Mighy Quinn Versione Grateful Dead
A S C O L T A Mighty Quinn Versione Phish
1968 - Ian & Sylvia (album Nashville)
1968 - Gary Puckett & The Union Gap
1969 - The Brother & Sisters (album Gospel Dylan)
1969 - The Hollies (album The Hollies sings Dylan)
2006 - Les Fradkin (album If Your Memory Serves You Well)
2009 - The Cornershop (album Judy Sucks A Lemon For Breakfast)
The Mighty Quinn Lyrics:
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Everybody's building ships and boats
Some are building monuments, others are jotting down notes
Everybody's in despair, every girl and boy
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna jump for joy
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
I like to go just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet
But jumping queues and makin' haste, just ain't my cup of meat
Everyone's beneath the trees, feedin' pigeons on a limb
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
All the pigeons gonna run to him
[ Manfred Mann Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Let me do what I wanna do, I can't decide 'em all
Just tell me where to put 'em and I'll tell you who to call
Nobody can get no sleep, there's someone on everyone's toes
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna wanna doze
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
L'Esquimese Lyrics:
Correte qui, correte là
mai niente al mondo
più vi piacerà.
C'è chi fa le navi
e chi le affonderà,
c'è chi scrive musica
e chi la copierà,
c'è chi pensa ai soldi e chi
pensa ai fatti suoi.
Ma se l'esquimese viene qui
tutti corrono a vedere lui.
Correte qui, correte là
mai niente al mondo
più vi piacerà.
Ti piace più lo zucchero
e fare quel che vuoi,
ti piace stare a pancia in su
e fare niente mai
allungar la mano e poi
mangiare quel che vuoi
Ma se l'esquimese viene qui
corri sempre a vedere lui.
Vuoi dormire e purtroppo c'è
un gatto che fa miao
nessuno dorme mai
per tutti è un incubo oramai
di notte tu pensi troppo
così tu non sogni più
Ma se l'esquimese arriva qui
sono certo dormirai anche tu.
Correte qui, correte là
mai niente al mondo
più vi piacerà.

That's The Way God Planned It - Billy Preston
A S C O L T A - Album Version
Billy Preston (2 Settembre 1946 - 6 Giugno 2006), vero nome William Everett "Billy" Preston nasce a Houston (Texas).

That's The Way God Planned It - Lyrics:
Why can't we be humble
Like the good Lord said?
He promised to exalt us
But low is the way
How man be so greedy
When there's so much left?
All things are God given
And they all have been blessed
That's the way God planned it
That's the way God wants it to be
Let not your heart be troubled
Let mourning, sobbing cease
Learn how to help each one another
And live in perfect peace
If we'd just be humble
Like the good Lord said
He promised to exalt us
But low is the way
That's the way God planned it
That's the way God wants it to be
I hope you get this message
When you won't others will
You don't understand me
But I love you still
That's the way God planned it
That's the way God wants it to be
